If you want to improve organic reach, then your social media business pages need thoughtful, curated content. A variety of content that provides value to the reader is more likely to be shared. If all you are Facebook and Instagram posts are calls to action (CTAs), you may lose followers. People don’t want to be advertised to constantly. So, strive to give your audience about 3 value-added posts for every one CTA.

3 Posts that Improve Organic Reach

1. Educational Content

People like learning new things. Interesting or surprising facts catch peoples attention.  If you run a company, chances are you are an expert in your field. So, you can leverage this knowledge to your advantage by creating educational content that teaches readers about your industry. Create infographics, GIFs, or short videos to support the content. Posts with engaging visuals are more likely to get likes and shares that will increase organic reach.

2. Engagement Oriented Content

Give your audience a way to actively engage with your posts beyond passively scrolling through their feed. People are more likely to leave comments on posts with polls and quizzes. The extra comments will boost organic reach. You also want to use visuals to support engagement posts. For example, a salon could poll readers on which style they like the best alongside an image of four different hair cuts.

3. Calls to Action

CTAs are your direct marketing. What action do you want your reader to take? Visit your website? Call to schedule an appointment? Requests for immediate action are best used in combination with educational content. For example, an electrician could create an informative post about warning signs of faulty wiring with a CTA to call the professionals.

Remember to use CTAs sparingly. Educational and engagement oriented posts tend to have better organic reach. Focus on curating content that adds value to your audience. Incorporate visuals such as pictures, GIFs, and videos to support the content.
